Dr. Matthias Weidinger

From 1994 to 1998 Dr. Matthias Weidinger did basic research in quantum optics and laser physics at the Max-Planck Institute for Quantum Optics and at the University of Munich, before changing to McKinsey where he mainly worked as strategic business consultant in the areas of supply management and R&D for seven years. From 2005 to 2009 Dr. Matthias Weidinger was Program Manager and Strategy Director for Philips Supply Management. In March 2009 Dr. Matthias Weidinger was appointed Head of the Programs & Systems Department of Siemens and is responsible for Procurement Governance, Systems & Tools, Market Intelligence and the overall Supply Management Program for the Siemens AG.

 

 


Dr. Andreas Froschmayer

Dr. Andreas Froschmayer was born in 1963 and holds a PhD in strategic management of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. Previously he has worked as Controller at the headquarter of Dachser GmbH & Co. KG, before becoming Head of Corporate Development & PR at Dachser Intelligent Logistics with responsibility for Strategy, Public Relations and Online Communications. Additionally he is in charge of the annual target planning. Dr. Andreas Froschmayer has published numerous articles about the actual market development in the transport and logistics sector. Moreover he has published several books about logistics.

 

 


Dr. Michael Krings

Dr. Michael Krings was born in 1964 in Oberhausen, Germany. In 1990 he finished his studies at TU Darmstadt where he then worked for six years as scientific assistant at the chair of corporate management of Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. H.-Chr. Pfohl. From 1996 till 2001 he worked at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Munich and was project manager for customer goods and commerce with focus on Non-Food-Retailing. Since 2001 Dr. Krings works at douglas Parfümerie GmbH, first as Director of Supply Chain Management and Douglas Hagen and then since 2011 as Head of Supply Chain Management at Douglas Logistik GmbH, Zossen.

 

 


Thorsten Roggenbruck

Thorsten Roggenbuck was born in Germany in 1972. After a bank traineeship he studied industrial engineering at the University of Siegen and International Marketing at the University of Tulsa in the US. After his diploma thesis at the BMW Group in Munich he joined Deutsche Post DHL Inhouse Consulting, the internal top management consultancy of Deutsche Post DHL, in 2001 as consultant. He was promoted to partner in 2008. Since August 2010 he is now, as one of three managing directors of Deutsche Post DHL Inhouse Consulting, responsible for all projects in the areas of global freight forwarding and Strategic Supply Chain Management.

 

 


John McNamara

John McNamara is the Head of Supply Chain Management for the adidas group. He started his career as Director at Romac Limited, which is a family engineering company, in 1994 in the UK. Within the time of 1998 – 2000 he successfully completed his MBA at the Darden Graduate School of Business in Virginia. From 2000 until 2005 he was able to directly follow his own expectations of “come with solutions not problems” as Manager for the Boston Consulting Group in Berlin before continuing in January 2006 as Head of Operations Strategy and Global Operations for the adidas group. In 2008 he was announced Head of Supply Chain Management and Global Operations for the adidas group and he currently lives in Berlin with his family.

 

 


Daniel Weber

Daniel Weber finished his Master of Mechanical Engineering in Bochum and Texas in 1991. After his career start at Unilever Germany in 1991 he continued working at tesa AG in 1995, which belongs to Beiersdorf. He became part of the Marketing Controlling Department, but then switched in 1997 until 2000 to tesa North Carolina as Director of Controlling and was in charge of restructuring activities in Supply Chain and local HQ. In the year 2000 he was appointed CFO at tesa Asia-Pacific where he supported the re-alignment of Supply Chain, Marketing & Sales. After being Head of SC Development and Head of Demand Side Management he became Head of Global Supply Chain Management in 2010 at the tesa AG at Beiersdorf (Consumer Business).

 

 


Prof. Dr. Carl Marcus Wallenburg

Professor Wallenburg studied Industrial Engineering and Management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and at the University of Gothenburg. He received his Ph.D. with a focus on marketing and logistics in 2004 from and habilitated with a focus on business relationships in 2009 at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. He is the European Editor of the Journal of Business Logistics. Additionally he serves as reviewer for various conferences and journals, including e.g. Journal of Business Logistics. Cuurently he is Professor of Logistics and holds the Kuehne-Foundation Endowed Chair of Logistics and Services Management at WHU and is the co-founder and academic director of WHU’s Campus for Supply Chain Management.

 

 


Prof. Dr. Stefan Spinler

Kuehne-Foundation endowed Chair of Logistics Management
WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management

 

Prof. Stefan Spinler is in charge of the Kühne Foundation Endowed Chair of Logistics Management at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar since January 2009. He completed his studies in Electrical Engineering at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg, at the University College London and Bell Labs in New Jersey from 1991 till 1997. His Dissertation on „Capacity Reservation for Capital-Intensive Technologies“ was marked with summa cum laude. From 2003 till 2008 Prof. Spinler was Assistant Professor at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and then habilitated. At the same time he was Visiting Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Among the Management Science Strategic Innovation Prize in 2003 he gained several awards up to this point. Prof. Spinler is married and has three daughters.

 

 


Thomas Krings

Thomas Krings was born in 1968. From 1991 until 1994 Mr Krings completed his dual studies in Business Administration at Wirtschaftakademie Hamburg in cooperation with Euler Hermes Kreditversicherungs-AG. Since 1994 he has worked in different positions at Euler Hermes, among these as Head of Credit Checks for Export Transactions and Head of Delkredere Stab (development and coordination of commercial credit insurance). In 2011 Thomas Krings has been appointed as member of the board of directors at the Euler Hermes Kreditversicherungs-AG.
